The BMS Online Training Modules provide a comprehensive introduction to Behaviour Management Systems (BMS), focusing on effective strategies for managing student behaviour in educational settings. The course begins with foundational concepts, including Ecological Systems Theory and an overview of risk and protective factors, followed by a look at relevant Quebec legislation. Participants explore the four phases of BMS: Information Gathering, Action, De-escalation, and Review/Planning, learning practical tools such as non-verbal and verbal interventions, as well as physical intervention techniques when necessary. The training includes interactive elements like quizzes and emphasizes safe, respectful, and proactive approaches to behaviour management.
This BMS training module aligns with the requirements of the MEQ’s "Référentiel des mesures de contrôle", to ensure the program’s consistency and compliance.
